Robert Duke ("Bobby") Brown, Jr.

Psalm 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

It is with profound sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Robert "Bobby" Duke Brown, Jr. of Camden.  Mr. Brown entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 29, 2020.

He was born April 5, 1956 to Bernard Brogdon Brown and the late Robert Duke Brown, Sr.

He attended the public schools of Roselle, New Jersey.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

He was employed with the South Carolina Department of Corrections as Director of the Recreation Division in Lee County until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father; a sister: Erica Brown; a special aunt: Ida Mae Brogdon; and his grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted mother: Bernard Brown; his loving wife: Angela Brown; a son: Robert Duke Brown, III; a granddaughter: Saniya Wilson; stepsons: James, Shamelle, and Tyrone Taylor; an aunt: Rudine Nelson;  an uncle: David Brogdon, Sr.; a very special friend of the family: Sharon Housey; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Mr. Robert "Bobby" Brown, Jr. in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private, family only, service for their loved one. While the Brown family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding.
