It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lizzie E. Lawson. Mrs. Lawson entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center.
Lizzie was born in Boykin, S.C. where she was a lifetime member of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to the late Willie Lawson Sr. She was a caring aunt, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her son; Henry Lawson, and nine siblings; Henry Miller, Sr., Mattie “Classy” Jackson, Melvin, Alex, John, James, Dave, and Willie Ellerby.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, one granddaughter; Susie J. Stuckey of Sumter, S.C., two great-grandchildren; Ashley Stuckey of Camden, S.C. and Larry Stuckey of Atlanta, G.A., one great great-grandchild; Kamari Peterson of Camden, S.C., one sister; Mary E. Thompson of Camden S.C., a special niece; Maggie Hayes of Camden, S.C., nine stepchildren; Janie (David) Loyd, Stella (George) Middleton of Rembert, S.C., Sarah (Vander) Ragin of Warner Robins, G.A., Angela Lawson, Bernice (James) Blair of Camden, S.C., Shirley Mayrant of Sumter, S.C., Charlie Lawson, Samuel Lawson, and Jerry Lawson all of Camden, S.C. and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Cedar Cemetery. Mask and Social Distancing will be observed. Viewing will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
