Inez Stoney Obituary

II Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Ms. Inez Stoney. Ms. Stoney entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Providence Health.

Ms. Inez Stoney of Lugoff, SC was born on June 3, 1939.  She was the 12th child of 18 born to her parents, Boykin and Beulah Stoney of Lugoff, SC.

She worked at Victoria Vogue Cosmetics and other odd jobs until she returned to her roots in December, 1975. After receiving Christ as her Savior, she was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sunday, October 14, 2018.

Inez loved hanging out with friends, traveling cross country, gardening and various other outdoor activities. She also loved bowling and on February 28, 1999, she became the first woman in history to win a GCBA City tournament (individual bowling title).

Inez’s presence will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory of four children, Vivian A.
