It is with deepest sympathy that we announce passing of Ms. Debra A. Wright of 1301 Kings Ave, Camden. Ms. Wright entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 12, 2019.
Debra Ann Wright was born March 31, 1967 in Harlem, New York. She graduated from Leeman Herbert High School. Debra furthered her education at Leeman College in New York. She was employed at Sam Kendall’s for over 13 years.
Ms. Wright was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She was very loved and well known in the community. She had a passion for cooking and helping others.
Ms. Wright was proceeded in death by her parents Elizabeth Greene Dow and Arthur Louis Wright. A daughter Tiffany Kirkland, sister Lynette Sheppard and a brother Gary Sheppard. Three uncles Charles Greene, James Greene and Robert Warren.
Ms. Wright is survived by her two sons: Philip (Deonica) Wright of Elgin, SC and William (Cassandra) Kirkland of Camden, SC; her grandchildren: Davante Wright, Jeriah Kirkland, Dameek Wright and Davian Miller; two sisters: Linda Sheppard of Brooklyn, New York and Arthurine Wilson of Monroe, NY; a brother Steven (Mary) Sheppard of Bridgeport, Connecticut; several Aunts: Mattie Allen of Manhattan, NY, Sarah Stuckey and Addie Johnson both of Camden, SC; Joanne (Bill) Mceachern of Manhattan, NY, Gladys Lee, Virginia Greene and Lula Greene and Penny Warren of Camden, SC; three uncles: John (Hattie) Greene, Perry (Edith) Stuckey and Henry Greene all of Camden, SC; four nephews: Theodore (Adriana) Sheppard of Camden, SC; James Sheppard of Bronx, NY, Khaliq and Keith Carlos both New York; three nieces: Melissa Broadnax, Latrisha Roberts and Monica Wilson-Washington all of North Carolina, a special great-niece: Rashai Sheppard; a longtime best friend: Vincent Fortune, a special friend: James Tucker, and a host of special cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church for viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
