Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Williams Miles, 96, of 18 Bettis Academy Ext. Rd, Trenton, SC entered into rest on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center in Saluda, SC.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Simmon Ridge Baptist Church in Edgefield.  The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will held on Wednesday from 1:00 to 7:00 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary in Edgefield.

Ruby is the daughter of the late Alvin and Cora Williams. She was born and raised in Edgefield County, SC. At an early age she was converted and baptized at Simmon Ridge Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended until her health failed.

She was predeceased by her husband, the late Eddie Miles; a daughter, Jenny Miles; six sisters; two brothers and one son-in-law.

Those left to cherish her memories are two daughters; Ellen Mealing of Trenton and Rosa (Freddie) Gibson of Ward, SC; two sons, Freddie (Lillian) Miles of Trenton and Clarence (Linda) Miles of Prosperity, SC; one brother, Freddie (Sarah) Williams of Edgefield, SC; seven grandchildren, Roderick (Jermitia) Mealing, Fredrika Miles, Fredrick Gibson, Bryant Miles, Terdell Mealing, Wesley Gibson, and Kendrick (Erica) Miles; six great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Family and friends may call or visit at the home of her daughter, Ellen Mealing at 15 Academy St, Trenton, SC.
