Mrs. Rebecca "Sister" Wright Simpson, wife of the late Arthur Simpson, daughter of the late Martha Wright Oliver and John Wright, Sr., also step-daughter of the late James Oliver was born in Kershaw County on November 1, 1941.  She was a faithful member of Life in the Word Ministry.

She departed this life on January 20, 2018 at home with family and friends.   She accepted Christ and served as Mother of the Church at Life in the Word in Kershaw, SC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and step-dad; a son Harold Lee Wright; three sisters, Ella and Tina Wright and Anna Montgomery; two brothers, John and Jimmy Wright.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January, 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Life in the Word Outreach Ministry in Camden.  The body will be placed in the church for viewing one hour prior to the service.  Public viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memories are six children; Henry Wright of Columbia, SC, Diane (John) Pollard of the home, Thomas Stuckey of Louisville, KY, Otis Stuckey of Camden, SC, Jennie Wright and Betty Jean Wright of Camden, SC; two brothers, Lewis (Carolyn) Wright of Camden, SC and Charlie (Mildred) Wright of Columbia, SC, 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, Ms. Da'Ziyla Singleton; a special niece, Jean Caldwell, a special friend of the family, Shana Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
