Patricia Ann "Betty" Kirkland Castleberry was born on August 5, 1949 in Ridgeway, SC.  She was the daughter of the late Lee and Lillie Bell Simon Kirkland.  Betty departed this life on Monday, September 28, 2015 at KershawHealth.

Sister Castleberry joined Rock Hill Baptist Church at an early age.  She attended the public schools of Kershaw County. Betty had no children of her own, but she helped raise her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.

Sister Castleberry leaves to cherish her loving memories five sisters, Margaret Murphy and Hannah Gaskins of Ridgeway, Geneva (Willie Washington) Champion of Camden, Joyce Bell of Blythewood and Sylvia (Rick) Martin of High Point, NC; a special friend, Claude Alston of Ridgeway and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
