Mr. Leroy Wheeler, son of the late Cole and Daisy Whitaker Wheeler, was born on April 23, 1942 in Camden, SC.  He departed this life of February 26, 2016 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster, SC.

After living over 50 years in New Jersey and New York, Leroy returned home to Camden in 2010.

In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn W. Paige and two brothers, Cole Wheeler, Jr. and Lloyd Wheeler.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcella Porter of Norcross, Ga. and Suprena Whitaker of Paterson, NJ; two sisters, Juanita W. Stuckey and Carrie Wheeler of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Jimmie Wheeler of Huntersville, NC, Bobby Wheeler of New Rochelle, NY and Isaac Wheeler of Garner, NC; four sisters-in-law, Lucille Wheeler of Camden, SC, Virginia C. Wheeler of New Rochelle, NY, Laurenette Wheeler of Garner, NC and Creola Wheeler of Bishopville, SC; three grandchildren, Zanaya, Tyrief and Shonta; ten great-grandchildren, Quanasia, Yahinis, Jade, Anijjah, Christian, Branden, Kamar, Camron, Amennah and Kiari; three aunts, Mary Wheeler, Barbara Wheeler and Lillie Mae Whitaker; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
