Leon Hollis was born April 2, 1955 in Manhattan, New York to the late Mr. David Hollis, Sr. and Martha Bynum Hollis.  Leon was a former member of Progressive Holiness Church of Lugoff, SC and was presently a member of Unity United Methodist Church in Lugoff.

Leon was a joy to be around.  He would always make you laugh.  There is one thing for sure, Brother Leon Hollis knew the Lord; he would let the world know that "God was and is a Good God."

Leon leaves to cherish his loving memories, two sisters; Sallie Steron of Lugoff and Elise (Franklin) Jacobs of Brooklyn, NY; an uncle, Willie Bynum of Brooklyn, NY; two special cousins and caregivers, Susie Spriggs and Jessie C. Hollis; a host of family and friends.

Leon was preceded in death by his siblings Margret, Lillian, Dorothy, Eleanor and David.
