Mrs. Josephine "Momalang" Fletcher Hunter, daughter of the late David and Millie "Ma", "Chute" Butler Fletcher, was born in Camden, SC on April 7, 1942 and entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2015.

"Momalang" was a graduate of Jackson High School Class of 1960, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and an Honor Student.

"Momalang" received Christ at an early age, being baptized at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.W. Boykin.  She was a deeply faithful and committed daughter of Christ, who possessed deep convictions in her beliefs, especially in Malachi 3:10, which she adamantly practiced.  "Momalang" faithfully served in the following ministries: Finance Committee, Youth/Young Adult Choir, Ruth Star Point and Church Soup Kitchen.  She regularly attended Bible Study where she loved not only studying the word, but discussing various perspectives of how the Holy Scriptures could be used for everyday practical application in life.

"Momalang" also emulated the Heart of Christ in her service to family and community. She and her sister Edith, the inseperable two, raised 11 children in one house, with two incomes where there was never a lack for food, clothing or shelter.  They believed knowledge was powerful and gave each of "Their Children" the opportunity to further their education.  Christmas times were most memorable because two sisters made sure that all 11 children's wishes were granted and items placed in separate piles with their names on them in the living room.  "Momalang" also believed in equity for people and her community.  She was a faithful volunteer at the Free Medical Clinic and her beloved Price House Commission. "Momalang" was a recipient of a service award from Camden Rotary Club.

"Momalang" was predeceased by her parents, siblings, David, Jr., Rebecca F. Robinson, Paul and nephew Barry.

Josephine leaves to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy; two devoted daughters, Elder Wynee Patrice Hunter Edwards (Elder Darryl) of Winterville, NC and Deena Lyn Hunter Ransom of Camden; a sister, Edith Fletcher Coleman; nieces and nephews, Sharon, Harry, Wayne (Pam), JoAnn, Derrick, Tonya, J. Britt (Brenda), LaShonna (Jef), Sonya, Marcus, Lance, Ashley, Haison (Winter), Derrick, Nierra, Barrett, Iyana, Jazira, Jadin and TJ.
