Mr. Johnny Roosevelt "Stud" Bradford, son of the late Dan Bradford Sr. and Pearl Hampton Bradford was born in Boykin, South Carolina on November 6, 1945. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at KershawHealth.

He received his education in the public schools of Kershaw County. He was a graduate of Jackson High School. He retired from the United States Army and received several awards with a honorable discharge. Those awards include Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, 4 Overseas Bars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal and Good Conduct Medal (6 Awards.) He was employed by FN Manufacturing until he retired.

He was a loving person with a big heart. His bark was definitely bigger than his bite.

He was preceded in death by his wife Elease Bradford, his brothers Dan Bradford Jr., Thomas Bradford, and Marion Bradford and sister Alice B. Williams.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Broom Hill Baptist Church in Rembert.  The remains will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment with full military honors will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Monday from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Those left to cherish her memories, grieve his passing, and celebrate his homegoing is "his boy" Marcus (Joana) Hawkins, daughter Millicent Johnson, five sisters, Rebecca Reed of Columbia, South Carolina, Mary (Michael) Thompson of Plainfield, New Jersey, Pearl (Benjamin) Bennett of Rembert, South Carolina , Alethia Bradford of Washington DC, and Bernice Harris of Lugoff, South Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews.  A special friend Elsie Grace of Camden, South Carolina and a faithful friend Jerome "Juicy" Belton.
