Obituary

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Mrs. Beulah Mae Stradford who entered into rest October 22, 2024.

Mrs. Beulah Mae Stradford was born April 13,1935, in Red Level, Alabama to the late Mabel Hillson and the late Aubrey Crittenden. At an early age, Beulah was baptized and raised at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Red Level, Alabama. She later joined Grace Baptist Church in South Norwalk, Connecticut. After relocating to Camden, she became an active member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in 2004 where she was a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Senior Missionary, Women to Women Bible Study, and active in attending Sunday School. She attended public schools and graduated from Covington County Training Center.

Beulah married Richard Stradford in 1961. She was employed at Norton Aircraft. Upon retiring in 1991, she relocated to Camden, South Carolina. Beulah enjoyed bowling, traveling, and caddying for her husband on the golf course. She had a sweet personality and loving spirit.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Walter Crittenden and Herbert Crittenden.

Those left to celebrate her homegoing and cherish her precious memories, while mourning her loss are: her husband of 63 years, Richard Stradford of Lugoff, South Carolina; one daughter, Helen Lane of McDonough, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Sanders of Chicago, Illinois and Rena Carter of Red Level, Alabama; four grandchildren, Samir Maolud of McDonough, Georgia, Laila Lane of Atlanta, Georgia, Lana Whittenbarger of McDonough, Georgia, and Lila Thompson of Augusta, Georgia; six great grandsons; two sisters-in-law, Etta Crittenden of Winter Haven, Florida and Virginia Fletcher of Camden, South Carolina; a host of godchildren, special nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Roger L. Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery.
