Asenath Gladden
Groom
Sep 25, 1948 — Sep 13, 2026
Camden
Asenath was a beloved Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, aunt. She had a way of showing up for the people she loved, often stepping into roles she never had to fill and giving of herself when her family needed her most.
She will be remembered for her uplifting spirit, her unwavering hope and optimism, and the free-spirited way she moved through life. She had a whimsical personality and a way of bringing laughter and light wherever she went. She loved her dogs dearly, took great pride in her many years as a bus driver, and, above all, devoted herself to caring for the people she loved. Her family could always count on her to show up, lend a hand, offer encouragement, and love them in the ways they needed most. Her love and influence reached far beyond what words can adequately express, and the impact she made on her family will continue on.
Asenath was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Groom; her daughter, Helen Davidson; her great-grandchild, Tristan Davidson; her parents, Madelein Gladden and George Gladden; and her brother, George L. Gladden; her nephew, Harold Goff; her niece, Marcie Goff.
She is survived by her daughter, Debby Prisco; her grandchildren, Justin Davidson, Lakyn Miller, and Cyndi Prisco; her great-grandchildren, Isabella Davidson, Hayden Gainey, Raven Ham, Luke Miller, and Nash Miller; her siblings, Minnie Rhodes, Mendel Gladden, and Lacretia Conrad; her nephew, Adam Gladden; and her nieces, Sharon Gardner, Heather Gladden, Dana Conrad, and Taylor Conrad.
While our hearts are grieving, we are thankful that her suffering is over. As believers, we do not grieve without hope. We find comfort in knowing that this life is not the end and rest in the promises of Christ.
“Neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 8:38–39
She was deeply loved, she will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever be carried by those who loved her.
