It is with profound sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Charles Lee "Sunny" Hill of 162 West Jones Lane, Lugoff, SC. Mr. Hill entered into rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Springdale HealthCare in Camden.
“Sunny” was born on March 13, 1944 in Lugoff, SC. He was the son of the late George Hill and Hattie Payne.
He was employed with General Motors in Brooklyn, New York for 20 years. After moving back to South Carolina, he gained employment at Condor Construction in Lugoff, having worked there 10 years until the age of 67.
“Sunny” touched the lives of, not only his family, but thousands of others. He was the best of All.
Those left to cherish his loving memories, to grieve his passing, and to celebrate his homegoing are his wife, Isabelle Woods Hill; three children: Sheila (Johnny) Glenn of Lugoff, SC, Jeffrey (Renee) Hill of Monroe, NC, and Pebbles Hill of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Pearl Lee Robertson of Lugoff, SC; three brothers: George (Vickey) Hill of Maryland, James Hill of Columbia, SC, and Forture Hill of Greensboro, NC; a special friend: Annie Hill of Columbia, SC; a host of special nieces and nephews: Robert Lee (Betty) Robertson of Lugoff, SC, Phillip (Bennetta) Robertson of Columbia, SC, James (Wanda) Hill, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Benjamin (Angie) Robertson of Florida, Jeffrey (Dee) Robertson of North Carolina, Gregory Robertson, Melissa Moore, Barbara (Andrew) Johnson, Theodore (Janetta) Robertson all of Lugoff, SC; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews he loved dearly: Shavon Robertson of Savannah, GA, Shereka Robertson, Tanisha Robertson, David (Daisy) Jones all of Lugoff, SC, Sedric (Lea) Robertson of Charlotte, NC; Melanie Jones of North Carolina, and a best friend that he adored: Andrew English of Lugoff, SC.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Lugoff. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Family and friends may call or visit at the residence.
